Art from trash not art for trash

The exhibition «Trash Art» took place at the Hellenic Cultural Centre (254 Pireos St.) from 19th May to 8th June between the hours of 09:00 to 14:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and 09:00 to 21:00 on Wednesday and Friday, as well as 10:00 to 15:00 on Sunday.

Trash Art Exhibition included the creation of art works from recycling materials. Children and young people as well as artists from Greece sent their own original message about the protection of the environment, through their imaginative works of art. «Useful» rubbish is the basic material of these creations.This exhibition involved the participation of students, pupils and artists.

We wish to send the following message: Everything around us has its own utility value so rubbish may be used creatively and at the same time it may criticize people’s indifference towards the environment.
