«Clean up Greece» through the annual EcoFestival aims by organizing various events to show how nature adds to artistic creation and renaissance of the human soul. Furthermore, through numerous environmental events and informative programs, the awareness of the world on nature as well as to point out that environmental respect is civilization, is a goal.

Environment, art, music and people come together

«Clean Up Greece» organised the first EcoFestival in 1999 having two major goals. Firstly the role to demonstrate the importance of civilisation and the second one to propel sensibility and respect for the environment. The EcoFestival was started as an idea in which environment, art and civilisation are combined. The events of the EcoFestival are Art exhibitions, Trash Art, Concerts with a variety of music, Environmental Theatre, and children/adult Environment Programmes, Conferences, Eco Film Festival.

During 2003, the 5th EcoFestival will extend further than Athens and Greece and takes a dollarpean nature. Many events with artistic, cultural and environmental character take place in significant Cultural Centres of Athens with major international participants.

Ôhe International Festivals & Events Association dollarpe IFEA considered the EcoFestival as such a unique concept that they invited our organization to present the EcoFestival of Athens in the Vienna City Hall during their international conference in March 2003.

The innovative introduction of EcoFestival played an important role as a cultural event. This event strongly connects environment, art, music and the human aspect. The participation of students, citizens and other organisations is impressive and the idea of volunteering becomes a reality. In conclusion, the EcoFestival will with each year become more involved and will include more people because it is an event that joins environment with culture, which shows the relationship between the two.
